EquipSJ September update

There is a great deal going on as we prepare for the next phase of EQUIP SJ so please pray for the many people involved and please continue to pray that we will have further pledges made to reach our £1 million goal.

Have you yet to make a pledge? All the information about how to do that is available in church and here.

Context I – Re-ordering St James Gerrards Cross

The Faculty has been submitted to the Diocese and we hope to hear soon if it has been approved. Once we have approval we can start to brief contractors for the tendering process.

The re-location group, led by Christoph Lindner, that is looking at where we will have our Sunday worship during the four months of building work is meeting again this week. We have many options to consider. Please pray for them.

Context II – Love Africa

The Love Africa Steering group is working closely with ACET and Tearfund to establish clear parameters for new proposals on all our Love Africa partner projects. This is painstaking work and we hope it will take us to the next level of commitment, relationship and effectiveness in the battle against HIV/AIDS.

Please pray for the steering group.

If you would like to be part of this process please talk to Frank Armstrong who can be contacted through the Church Office or through the contact form.

Context III –  Transformational Mission Partners

The group responsible for this has now drawn up terms of reference and is ready to send out an invitation letter to a range of core missions and other mission partners.

This group is led by Andrew Shingleton and if you know of transformational mission activity that may be interested in applying for some funding do let Andrew know. He can be contacted through the church office or via the contact form.

Please pray that God will lead us to the perfect recipients of this funding in the weeks ahead.
