Pray for EquipSJ

Thank you for visiting the EQUIP SJ prayer pages. Prayer is the most important aspect of this three-fold mission initiative. We are praying constantly that God will guide, equip and sustain us in this venture. We long to see our nation renewed and EQUIP SJ is part of that longing.

Please pray for each of the three Contexts: Re-ordering St James Gerrards Cross, Love Africa and Transformational Mission partners.

You can visit this page to get regular prayer updates, prayer points and you can subscribe to our prayer emails at the bottom of this page.

Prayer Points for August:

  • Please continue to pray for the Faculty process. Queries have been raised and answered and we await a favourable decision from the Diocese.
  • Praise God for the wonderful response to our appeal to raise £1m. Thus far we have received pledges for £868,500 despite the hardships many are experiencing during this time of recession.
Please pray that everyone in the St James Church family feels that they can participate in pledging to EQUIP SJ; that everyone will know that their pledge matters
  • The Context III group that will start meting with its new terms of reference soon. Their role is to prayerfully seek out transformational mission partners that we might support in the years ahead. Pray also for ACET and Tearfund as they discuss proposals for new projects.
  • The Love Africa Steering Group who are setting measurable goals with our partners in Uganda who are working with those living with HIV/AIDS. Edith and Lois from Uganda will be attending the Global Leadership Summit in October. Please pray for them and for all the necessary arrangements.
Pray especially for Pastor Nicholas and the Tumaini Children’s Home, who have to overcome a number of challenges at present.

  • Please pray for the team that is looking at where we will re-locate our Sunday services to during the building phase at Gerrards Cross – their next meeting is on Monday, 9 August.
