EQUIP SJ is a significant spiritual challenge for us at the two St James. I believe it represents a genuine call from God to allow Him to constantly expand and enlarge our vision and to grow our faith in what He intends to do in and through His local church.
There is no doubt that as many churches in the UK and further afield struggle to remain relevant and salient to their cultural context, we at the two St James have so much to share and to give away of Christ’s blessing and hope. EQUIP SJ represents our heartfelt desire to be in step with God’s promise to build His church in our generation. Kingdom growth is our passion; whether it be amongst those living in South Bucks, amongst those living with HIV/AIDS, or those in communities we have yet to encounter. We believe to our core that the local church really is the hope of the world and we want to invest our best energies and resources in that local church.
So please take some time to read, reflect and pray. Please take some time to seek God about how He may be calling you to contribute your gifts and resources to EQUIP SJ; and please encourage and inspire others in the church family to believe that they, too, can make a difference with whatever they give as part of this exciting initiative.
